Malkia Strikers captain Mercy Moim feels the presence of Brazilian coaches in the camp will help the national volleyball team perform well in the Tokyo Olympic Games.

Despite being drawn a tough Group ‘A’ alongside hosts Japan, Brazil, South Koream Serbia and the Dominican Republic, the attacker believes the African giants will cause an upset in Tokyo.“Our serving, blocking and defense techniques have now improved tremendously,” said Moim.

“Thanks to the supportive coaching by the visitors last month and I am sure this can only get better as we begin this phase of coaching now,” she added.

The Luizomar de Moura-led coaches were seconded to Kenya by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).
