At last, Eva defeated Haraka Sio Baraka 7-5 to break their two-week unbeaten record in the ongoing Nairobi Polo League on Sunday.

It was bad day in office for diminutive international striker Amani Nzomo, who despite scoring four goals for Haraka Sio Baraka, saw his side go down.

Not even Francis Bariyette’s third-goal could salvage the side against the Vishal Somai's led Eva side.

Somai, who scored four times in the first three chukkas, was a pillar for his side whose other teammates were Magda Jurwiecka (one goal), Vincent De Drauwer (one) and Eva Kamau.

And on their part, Jadini Nzomo scored six times for Nduruma in their 11-5.5 win against his father’s Raph Nzomo’s Scorpio side in the one-sided match.

“It was a good outing for us, but it was total teamwork that delivered the victory and we are equally eyeing the title,” said Jadini.

Raph scored all the five goals for Scorpio, but could not match the prowess of his elder son in the match Gordy Kitomai (three) and Archie Camm (one) scored the rest of the goals for Nduruma after Jadini’s exploit.

Having had a mixed start on Friday, Porini Polo secured a 4-3.5 win over Prime Time last evening in the fight for top honours.
