It will be a busy weekend for swimmers in Mombasa, Machakos and Mt Kenya as they try to outsmart each other at their respective swimming championships.

Aga Khan Academy's swimming pool will host the Mombasa County swimming gala today and tomorrow where over 200 swimmers will be in action.

The two-day competition, which is exclusively for swimmers aged below 11 years has attracted swimmers from the hosts Aga Khan Academy, Bandari, Blue Ocean, Braeburn International School, Mombasa Aquatics and Oshwal Academy Mombasa, according to Mehboob Harunani one of the event coordinators.

Meanwhile, the Machakos Aquatics Invitational Swimming Championship is scheduled for St. Bakhita School Sabaki.

The Mt. Kenya Aquatics Invitational Swimming Championship will be at the Nyahururu Elite School. These events promise to be a continuation of the celebration of young talent in the regions.

At the same time, former international swimmers are preparing for the National Masters Swimming Championship, slated for March 23 at Sabis International School.
