Premier League side KCB FC will be looking for its first ever silverware when the team takes on Kariobangi Sharks in the FKF Cup semi-final at the Dandora Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Mwalala’s side toppled Kakamega Homeboyz 1-0 in the quarters to earn themselves a spot in the final four of the FKF Cup with Danson Namasaka’s solitary strike sealing the victory for KCB.
“We recently won against Talanta FC in the league giving us a massive morale-boost ahead of Sharks. We have prepared well for this fixture and I am sure the boys will play their hearts out for the badge. We intend to win this game and qualify for the final,” said coach Mwalala during a training session at KCB Leadership Centre, Karen.
Mwalala who has entrusted Haniff Wesonga, Francis Oduor, Herit Mungai, and Kelvin Okumu with defensive duties is expected to maintain the same lineup at the heart of defense.
Following the return of Brian Ochieng from injury, he is expected to partner with Danson Namasaka and Henry Ochieng in the midfield while Derrick Otanga, Stephen Etyang, and Philemon Nyakwakwa lead the attack for the bankers in the highly-anticipated duel.
