Super-agent Mino Raiola of Italy, who represented football stars such as Paul Pogba, Erling Haaland, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Matthijs de Ligt, MarcoVerratti among others, has died at 54 after short illness.

His family announced his death on Raiola's official Twitter page on Saturday, April 30.

"In infinite sorrow, we share the passing of the most caring and amazing football agent that ever was, Mino Raiola. Mino fought until the end with the same strength he put on negotiation tables to defend our players," his family said on Twitter.

Raiola was battling a lung disease, multiple reports in Italy said.
