Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has asked ="https://www.standardmedia.co.ke/article/2001498899/ruto-mt-kenya-mps-meeting-that-laid-the-ground-for-railas-entry">President William Ruto< to form a Cabinet which will serve Kenyans with humility.

Gachagua who shared the podium with Ruto in Elgeyo Marakwet on Saturday told him to take his time and ="https://www.standardmedia.co.ke/article/2001498894/president-must-constitute-new-cabinet-immediately-experts-say">nominate a new team< that will respect ordinary Kenyans.

The DP praised the President for making what he termed as difficult decisions following a string of protests that rocked the nation in recent weeks.

Ruto ="https://www.standardmedia.co.ke/article/2001498828/why-ruto-fired-his-cabinet">dissolved his Cabinet< on Thursday, only sparing Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, who also serves as Foreign Affairs CS.

“I admire your tenacity to make critical decisions during a crisis. You have made very difficult decisions in the last few weeks and those decisions define your leadership,” Gachagua told the President during a development tour of Elgeyo Marakwet.

The duo did not appear to exchange pleasantries after a tree planting exercise in Kaptagat, Keiyo South, and the unveiling of two dams – Yokot and Etyo as well as the launch of computers at Kipsoen Technical Training College in Keiyo North.

Gachagua, in a speech in Kaptagat, however, kept off the debate on a government of national unity pushed by Ruto.

He praised President Ruto’s move to listen to demands pushed by the youth.

Gachagua said the Cabinet that was sacked was ‘rude’ and insensitive to the needs of ordinary Kenyans.

“Look for a new Cabinet that will help you to transform the country. Find time to hire patriotic Kenyans to help with the transformation of a new Kenya. Take your time,” Gachagua told the President.

He added; “Musalia Mudavadi and I will help you run the country as you reconstitute a new team.”

According to Gachagua, Ruto exuded a sense of humility after heeding to ="https://www.standardmedia.co.ke/opinion/article/2001498907/gen-z-revolution-a-reflection-on-sacrifice-freedom">demands of Gen Z<.

“We want those who will be allowed to serve as new CSs to respect Kenyans because they gave us our jobs,” he said.

The DP went on to say: “The President has submitted to the will of Kenyans. Let me confirm without doubt that our resolve is to ensure Ruto succeeds. If you fail, all of us have failed.”

“Let us remember Ruto in our prayers so that he delivers on his promises”.

President Ruto asked Kenyans in his backyard to allow him to incorporate professionals drawn from across tribes and political parties when he picks a new team of CSs.

Ruto said he was starting again after an assessment of the first two years of his administration.

“We must work together towards a peaceful and democratic Kenya. There can’t be any justification for anyone to lose life and property,” Ruto said.
