Robbery suspect lynched by mob in Homa Bay

A 28-year-old man accused of breaking into houses has been lynched in Homa Bay County.
Gor Abeka was lynched Thursday at Ongeng Trading Centre in Ndhiwa sub-county.
He was accosted by an irate mob that accused him of breaking into homes.
He was also accused of being behind robbery incidents in shops at Ongeng Trading Centre, including one which happened Wednesday night in which Abeka was identified by witnesses who responded to distress calls.
According to assistant chief of Kachwanya sub-location Nancy Ogongo, Abeka had threatened to assault the witnesses with a machete before he was attacked.
