Eldas Member of Parliament Adan Keynan has voiced strong support for the Finance Bill 2024, characterizing it as a beneficial and friendly piece of legislation.

Speaking at a consultative forum held in Wajir Town, Keynan engaged with local elders and religious leaders to discuss the bill's potential impacts and gather community feedback.

Keynan highlighted the bill's focus on fostering economic growth and improving the livelihoods of all Kenyans.

"The Finance Bill 2024 is designed with the needs of our people at heart and it aims to create a more equitable tax system and generate resources that will support essential services and development projects across the country, particularly in regions like ours," he added.

The legislature who voted Yes during the voting for the bill said he supports the bill because there are many developmental benefits including an extra Seventy million for rural electrification and extra funds for constituency development fund.

The forum provided an opportunity for elders and religious leaders to express their views on the bill. Many voiced their support, appreciating the MP's efforts to bring the conversation to the grassroots level.
