President William Ruto visited Port-au-Prince, Haiti, to assess the progress of the UN-backed peacekeeping mission ahead of his trip to New York.

According to a statement from State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohammed, President Ruto also met with the Transitional Presidential Council and members of the Haitian Cabinet during the visit.

The trip comes 100 days after President Ruto flagged off the Kenyan police contingent for the Multinational Security Support Mission (MSS) in Haiti.
