President William Ruto has appointed former ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo as the Deputy Chief of Staff in his administration.

This appointment follows the recent dissolution of Ruto's initial cabinet.

"To support the Executive Office of the President, and with the approval of the Public Service Commission (PSC), the President has appointed Eliud Owalo as the Deputy Chief of Staff, responsible for Performance and Delivery Management," the statement read in part.

Chief of Staff Felix Koskei stated that Owalo will be responsible for overseeing the performance of government ministries, departments, and agencies in delivering services.

Additionally, President Ruto appointed former Public Service CS Moses Kuria as a senior advisor to the Council of Economic Advisors.

Ruto also made an appointment to lead the Creative Economy and Special Projects within the Executive Office.
