The whereabouts of Shad Khalif, one of the protestors who has been publicly opposing the proposed Finance Bill 2024 remains unknown.

According to CCTV footage in our possession, Khalif was abducted by unknown people at the La Enzi shopping mall in South B, Nairobi on Sunday evening.

It is believed that Khalif was trailed to the location by three men in a White Toyota Prado and another black double cab pickup before being pounced on and the abductors driving away at high speed with the victim.

It is not clear whether his abductors were plainclothes officers.

Through his social media, Khalif has been openly opposing the Finance Bill, and at the same time urging the youth to oppose what he termed as punitive taxes that will hurt the local mwananchi.

This is the fourth incident of abduction after Attorney General Justine Muturi's son, Leslie Muturi was abducted and released after being linked to the protests.

Yesterday, Dr Austin Omondi was also arrested outside the Sikh Temple in Parklands, Nairobi and later released after much public outcry including from various medical bodies.

On Friday, June 21, Billy Simani also known as Crazy Nairobian was arrested and released a day later.
