Paul Ndemo has been appointed the Acting Chief Registrar of the Judiciary by the Judicial Service Commission.

Ndemo who served as the Deputy Chief Registrar for five years will now serve in his new capacity as former Chief Registrar Anne Amadi exited the office after her 10-year tenure.

The handover ceremony was presided over by Chief Justice Martha Koome at the Milimani Law Courts in Nairobi.

Before he was appointed the Deputy Chief Registrar, Ndemo served as a prosecutor and assisted in the formulation of policies and structures to support the establishment of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from and a Master of International Studies degree from the University of Nairobi and was admitted to the Bar in 1998.

He also holds a certificate in strategic and security Studies from the National Defence College, Nairobi.
