Manchester United could yet sign James Rodriguez as his future at Real Madrid was put in further doubt, according to Marca.

United are reportedly keeping tabs on the Colombian, who could lose his place in the starting line-up to breakthrough star Marco Asensio this season.

The midfielder’s future has been uncertain since Zinedine Zidane took over and United are reportedly set to pounce should he formally announce that he wants out of the Bernabeu.

However, Real Madrid could demand a mammoth fee of around £70million for his services.
