But any move for the £150million-rated Tottenham star this summer depends on the futures of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar who are both wanted men in Spain.
New PSG boss Pochettino has a close relationship with 27-year-old England star Kane and occasionally made the striker captain during his time managing Spurs.
It's believed the pair still regularly swap WhatsApp messages with Kane congratulating Pochettino when he was appointed PSG boss in January after 13 months out following his sacking by Daniel Levy.
Tottenham are believed to have slapped a £150million valuation on Kane to deter any interest in their leader with Manchester City reportedly keen on the attacker who has scored 156 goals in 228 Premier League games for Spurs.
Along with City, PSG - owned by Qatari ruler Tamin bin Hamad Al Thani through the state-owned Qatar Sports Investments group - are one of the few clubs who could currently afford that kind of outlay despite the Covid pandemic wrecking football finances.
And Pochettino wants Kane on board if either Mbappe or Neymar move this summer.
Real Madrid have been long time admirers of 22-year-old French flyer Mbappe who scored a hat- trick as PSG destroyed Barcelona 4-1 in the Champions League at the Nou Camp last week.
Speculation still swirls that Neymar could return to Barcelona depending who wins the Presidential election on March 7 - despite the Catalans' financial problems.
Pochettino's impressed his new bosses at PSG winning ten and losing just one of his 11 matches in charge at the Parc de Princes.
And his stock shot up even more with the win at the Nou Camp.
Pochettino believes PSG would be an ideal destination for Kane – and give the Spurs star the chance of the silverware he craves.
Although fiercely committed to Tottenham, Kane craves medals and is known to be frustrated at failing to win any trophy's at White Hart Lane.
Kane, who has scored 13 League goals and has 11 assists this season, has lost two finals with Spurs in the EFL Cup against Chelsea in 2015 and the 2019 Champions League Final to Liverpool in Madrid.
The England star has another shot at glory in the EFL Cup Final with Manchester City in April.
But Jose Mourinho's side, humbled 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium eight days ago, will be big underdogs with Pep Guardiola's dominant stars aiming for a fourth successive victory in the final.
