Riaroh outshines rivals to win Nyanza Golf Club's Monthly Mug

Christine Riaroh delivered a stellar performance to emerge as the overall winner of the March Babies Monthly Mug at the scenic Nyanza Golf Club, located on the shores of Lake Victoria.

Riaroh posted an impressive score of 69 to clinch the coveted title in the highly competitive tournament.

The tournament, which attracted top golfers from the region, showcased thrilling performances across various categories. In the Gross Winner category, David Omollo took the top honor with a score of 79, while Joseph Atito finished as the runner-up with 88.

In Division A, Jiten Pabari emerged as the winner with a strong score of 69, edging out Nishal Shah, who settled for first runner-up with a score of 77. Division B saw Ameet Shah triumph with a score of 69, followed closely by Raju Bhayani, who secured second place with a score of 72.

Division C was equally competitive, with Sidney Maina claiming victory after scoring 64, while Clifford Agumbi finished as runner-up with 67. Hazel Miseda showcased her talent in the March Baby category, winning with a commendable 78, while Don Riaroh followed closely as runner-up with 79.

Isaac Okwirry displayed impressive skills to win the Guest Winner category with a score of 82. In the Senior Winner category, Judith Attyang topped the leaderboard with a solid 78.

The Best Junior title went to Tony Nyambogo, who posted 71, while Clement Ramah was the runner-up with a score of 73.

Dev Karia took the Nearest to Pin honor. The Best Effort award was won by Andrew Mulei, who posted a score of 98.

Speaking after the event, Nyanza Golf Club captain Griffins Owino expressed his excitement at the success of the tournament and the growing enthusiasm for the club's monthly mugs.

"The competition keeps getting better each month, and it is encouraging to see new winners emerging. Christine Riaroh's victory is a testament to the talent we have in this region. Over the past few years, our monthly mugs have grown in stature, and we can only get better from here," Owino remarked.

The March Babies Monthly Mug was yet another testament to the competitive spirit and golfing excellence at Nyanza Golf Club, setting the stage for even more thrilling contests in the coming months.
