Zheng Chaohui emerged victorious at the inaugural Kenya Chinese Golf Association (KCGA) tournament held at the prestigious Muthaiga Golf Club.

With an impressive score of 81 Nett, Zheng secured the top spot in the men's category, leading a field of 75 founder members who competed in the event.

The KCGA, newly launched by the Kenyan Chinese community, aims to create a dynamic networking platform for Chinese residents and visitors in Kenya.

This association seeks to provide social and economic empowerment while offering golfers an unforgettable experience.

KCGA Chairman Jack Su emphasized the association's broader vision, stating, "There is a lot that we can do through KCGA to empower our people and countries, particularly, through the game of golf. More reason why we've started this association and shall grow together."

In a closely contested tournament, Wang Chong followed Zheng in second place with a score of 82 Nett, while Yu Zhong also posted 82 Nett, claiming third place.

Qi took fourth place with 84 Nett, and Peng Xiliang finished fifth with 85 Nett. The sixth position was secured by Liu Guohua, who scored 89 Nett.

In addition to the main prizes, Birdie Awards were given to outstanding performers, including Zheng Chaohui, Wang Si Long, He Yuan Guo, Jiang Qi, Wang Chong, Wang Yu Lin, Cai Zihao, and Su Biqun.

As part of its launch activities, the KCGA, in collaboration with Nomadic Golf, is hosting a weeklong Indoor Long-Drive Challenge from September 1-7 at Gold Park Homes, Wood Avenue, off Ngong Road in Nairobi.

This event will offer cash prizes of Sh200,000 for both the men's and women's categories, further enhancing the golfing experience for participants.
