Handicap 12 John Kibet is the ultimate winner of the Kenya Pipeline Golf Championships hosted at Nakuru Golf Club.

Kibet achieved six bogeys, 11 pars and one birdie for a total of 43 stableford points to beat a field of 147 golfers.

"It has been a journey to win this title. I have played against several players for me to get to this point. I made one birdie, six bogeys and 11 pars to win. I wish everybody who took part in this event the best," he said.

"We give the KPC MD Joe Sang' the honorary membership from his unmeasured support. We as well appeal to your employees to join us as we have some subsided corporate rates too," said Nakuru Golf Club chairman Titus Lusaka.

With 41 stableford points, Mark Karanja emerged runner-up ahead of William Kariuki, who was beaten to the third spot with three points.

In-form Beatrice Bisonga, who for the past six weeks has featured in the prize list, did not disappoint as well after she won the ladies' title with a total of 37 stableford points.

Bisonga bagged 10 bogeys, two pars and six birdies, a feat she said was not a good achievement on her part.

"Yes, that was my achievement, but it was not impressive," she told Standard Sports.

With a total of 35 stableford points, David Mathai of Njoro Country Club won the senior men's title, while the junior winner was homeboy Peter Gathogo with 34 points.

The first nine-winner was Charles Angwenyi with 22 stable fordpoints, with the second nine title going to Francis Kioni, who posted 24 points.

Duncan Kivuitu and Jane Koech won the sponsor men and ladies titles with each scooping 36 stableford points respectively.
