Odoo wins at Nyali as Malik bags top prize in Karen

Charles Odoo produced an excellent 43 stable ford points to emerge the overall winner of the Johnnie Walker Heroes Launch golf tournament played at the par 71 Nyali Golf and Country Club course in Mombasa County on Friday.
The event was sponsored by EABL under the Johnnie Walker brand during the official opening of the brand’s Sports Bar and the Club.
Oddo was a point ahead of Men winner Rajesh Kunverji while John Smith carded 40 points to emerge runners up slot.
The Club’s former Lady Captain Susan Stokes had a score of 36 points while JC Patel on 36 points and Caroline Munyi on 45 points were the Best Senior and High Handicappers winners respectively.
At Karen Country Club on Saturday, handicap 2 Taimur Malik posted a total of 140gross (70-70) to emerge the overall Division one winner of the 2021 Karen Challenge Golf Tournament.

Mutahi Kibugu playing off handicap 2 was second with a total of 144 gross (72-72) and taking the third slot was Adel Balala who had 145 Gross (75-70).
At Kenya Railways Golf Club, handicap 20 Mildred Malubi carded 38 points to emerge the overall winner of the Ladies Stableford tournament played on Saturday.
Handicap 28 Lydia Otieno with 37 points was the runners up and handicap 19 Joyce Gikunda on 33 points settled for the third slot.
Esther Chumo playing off handicap 8 was the Guest winner on 36 points and taking the runners up slot was handicap 2 Mercy Nyanchama on 31 points.
In men category handicap 22 HW Gichohi won with a count back score of 39 points after tying on the same points with second placed handicap 14 Geoffrey Yego.
The Men Guest Winner was handicap 28 Bob Odhiambo.
