Liverpool FC have confirmed that star forward Egyptian star winger Mohamed Salah has signed a new two-year contract, putting to rest months of speculation about his future.

The deal extends his stay at the Kop until 2027.

The announcement follows prolonged negotiations, with fans and pundits expressing concern that Salah might have left the club as a free agent upon the expiration of his previous contract.

In a statement about his decision, Salah stressed his commitment to achieving more with the team.

"If I didn't believe that I would not have signed. I believe the team can win trophies. With the support of the fans and the city, and the support they always give us in the games, I believe we can win many trophies in the next years," he said.

If he fulfills the terms of his new contract, Salah will complete a remarkable decade at Liverpool, where he has already established himself as one of the club's all-time greats.
