Joint FKF Premier League leaders Kenya Police and Tusker dropped two points each after failing to win their respective round 19 matches on Sunday.

Police drew 1-1 against Sofapaka, while the brewers were held to a 0-0 draw by KCB.

Both teams headed to the weekend action tied at the top with 36 points and each needed maximum points to establish boundary as the battle for the 2024-2025 title heats up.

However, after the stalemate, Police and Tusker will head to the next match tied at the hip both with 37 points. Only goal difference separate the two teams as Police enjoy a superior goal difference of 14 goals compared to Tusker's nine.

In Machakos, Police needed a late equaliser from Brian Okoth to force a 1-1 draw with Sofapaka.

The 2009 champions, keen to end their two-game losing streak, had taken the lead late in the first half through Ugandan international Donato Okello, but could not see out their first win their last win last month.

With the result, Batoto ba Mungu remained ninth on the log with 25 points.

Okoth rose highest to power in the leveller with just a minute of normal time remaining, extending Police's unbeaten run in the league to 11 games

In Kisii County, Kariobangi Sharks failed to register their first win of the year after playing out to a 0-0 draw against Shabana at Gusii Stadium.

Sharks, who fielded two of their three mid-season signings, were seeking to bring to an end a six-game winless run stretching from last year.

However, the visitors ended up wasting decent first-half chances as their win drought extended to seven matches.

The draw saw Sharks jump a place up to 13th, while Shabana, with their seventh draw of the season, remained fifth with 28 points.

Elsewhere, Nairobi City Stars fell 1-0 to AFC Leopards.
