Defending champions Gor Mahia returned to winning ways after seeing off 10-man Kakamega Homeboyz 2-0 in a FKF Premier League match played at Machakos Stadium on Wednesday.

Bonface Omondi pounced on Rooney Onyangos delivery to give Gor Mahia the lead in the 38th minute before Dennis Murunga was sent off in the 80th minute.

With numerical advantage, Bryson Wangai sealed the win in added time as K’Ogalo ended their four match winless run.

“We know what we have to do after the poor run we have had and am glad today the boys played well and made everything tick. We know the season is still young and we are confident to turn around the poor form,” said Gor coach Zedekiah Otieno after the match.

In Kisii, Shabana continued with their impressive run in November after seeing off AFC Leopards 2-1 at a fully packed Gusii Stadium.

Bryan Michira headed home from close range in the 34th minute to hand Shabana the lead after connecting well with Mathew Tegisi’s cross from the right wing.

Five minutes later, Michira returned to haunt Leopards after doubling Shabana’s lead in the 39th minute before Boniface Munyendo scored Ingwe’s consolation in the 44th minute as the hosts held on to win 2-1.

Victory lifted Shabana to seventh with 12 points while Leopards dropped to ninth on 11 points.
