Tusker returned to winning ways on Saturday after leaving it late to narrowly edge out Nairobi City Stars 1-0 in a round nine FKF Premier League match played at Machakos Stadium.

Ryan Ogam scored the winner in the 62nd minute after completing Shaphan Siwa's assist and hand the brewers maximum points.

The win saw Tusker end their two match winless run where they had drew 1-1 against Ulinzi Stars and lost 3-2 to league leaders KCB.

Victory pushed the former champions to sixth in the standings with 12 points after eight matches. They trail leaders KCB with eight points albeit with a game in hand. The bankers have played nine matches.

On the other hand, City Stars who were seeking to move out of the relegation zone remain 16th with seven points.

At SportPesa Arena, Shabana saw off 10-man Muranga SEAL 1-0 to move out of the relegation zone and into mid table.

Mathew Tegesi netted the winner at the hour mark after an assist from Darius Msagha.

Building from their 1-0 victory over Kenya Police two weeks ago, Shabana moved to joint eighth in the standings with nine points alongside Ulinzi, Sofapaka, Bidco and Kakamega Homeboyz.

In Mumias, Homeboyz were held to a 0-0 draw by Bandari.

Action will continue on Sunday when When Mara Sugar host Sofapaka at Awendo Green Stadium and Ulinzi Stars face Bidco at Kinoru Stadium from 4pm.
