KCB stretched their unbeaten run to seven matches in the FKF Premier League after edging out Tusker 3-2 in a five goal thriller match played at Sportpesa Arena on Saturday.

Francis Kahiro gave the banker the lead in the eighth minute off an assist by Kevin Okumu for a 1-0 lead.

Five minutes later, the duo combined again to push the scores to 2-0 as Kahiro and Okumu each grabbed a brace apiece with a goal and assist respectively.

Seven minutes to half time, Tusker pulled a goal back to trail 2-1 and get back into the game for the remaining 45 minutes.

However, fate would favor the league leaders who took a 3-1 lead after an own goal by Tusker.

A late penalty by Ogam deep into stoppage time did little to harm KCB’s lead as the bankers emerged 3-2 winners.

The win saw KCB solidify their lead at the helm of the 18-team league with 17 points from seven matches.

KCB have so far defeated Muranga SEAL, Posta Rangers, Ulinzi Stars, Kakamega Homeboyz and now Tusker.

The bankers have only dropped points against Kariobangi Sharks and defending champions Gor Mahia, matches which ended in barren draws.

Action continues on Sunday where Posta Rangers will face Ulinzi Stars at Machakos Stadium in the only game of the day. The other match featuring Gor Mahia and Nairobi City Stars will be played on Monday.
