Kenya Police impressive run this season continued yesterday after coming from behind to edge out Kakamega Homeboyz 2-1 in a FKF Premier League match played at Mumias Sports Complex in Kakamega.
Kevin Amwayi gave Homeboyz a narrow 1-0 half time lead after finding the back of the net in the 45th minute.
South Sudan international Tito Okello who is chasing the Golden Boot award restored parity for the law enforcers in the 60th minute with his 13th goal of the 2023-2024 season.
The goal which took Okello to within a goal of current top scorer Benson Omalla gave Police the momentum they need to get the winning goal which was scored by Marvin Nabwire in stoppage time.
The win saw Police take their unbeaten run to 14 matches since Salim Babu took over in December.

Victory also saw Police reduce the gap between them and record champions Gor Mahia to within nine points.
Gor Mahia sit top of the log with 60 points following the 3-1 win over Murang’a SEAL on Saturday.
While Gor need three wins to win a record extending 21st Premier League title, Police need to win all their matches and hope Gor Mahia falter on the way.
At Dandora Stadium, AFC Leopards moved to sixth on the log after narrowly edging out Bandari 1-0.
Former Gor Mahia and Kenya Police winger Clifton Miheso scored the lone goal in the 36th minute, a goal that sealed Ingwe’s 10th win of the season.
