Tusker will seek to maintain their perfect start to the season when they host Kariobangi Sharks at Ruaraka on Saturday.

Boosted by the return of experienced Harambee Stars defender and their former captain Eugene Asike, the brewers head into match day two behind their hard-fought 1-0 win over Bandari last week as the race to reclaim the title they lost to Gor Mahia last season continues.

Speaking ahead of his return, Asike said he is happy to be back and looking forward to inspiring the young players in the club's senior ranks.

"When Tusker agreed to welcome me back, I did not think twice. Tusker is home and I am where I belong. I have a few contract issues with my Swedish club which while it's being sorted, I saw it fit to sign a short-term deal to help Tusker get their season to a good start.

"We have a lot of talented young player in the team and I believe with my experience, they can learn a few things and improve their game," Asike told the club's media.

At Ulinzi Sports Complex, defending champions Gor Mahia will be hoping to get their season up and running as they face Ulinzi Stars.

Gor had to come from behind during their season opener against Sofapaka to salvage a point after a 1-1 draw and head coach Jonathan McKinstry will pray his charges play better than they did last week.

Newly promoted Muranga SEAL host Kakamega Homeboyz at Sportpesa Arena for their first top-flight home match where they will be seeking to build on their opening season 1-0 win over Shabana.

The other match will see Bidco United play Nairobi City Stars.
