Mathare United survival hopes suffered a huge setback on Saturday after losing 3-0 to Bandari in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League match at Mbaraki Sports Club.

The Dockers led 2-0 at half-time courtesy of goals by Johanna Mwita and Keegan Zakayo before Mwita sealed the win in the second half to send Bandari third on 49 points.

Mathare are now a point above the danger zone with 24 points and in real danger of relegation with two matches left to play.

Bottom-placed Western Stima have 22 points with two matches remaining while 16th-placed Vihiga United are on 23 points with one match to play.

Elsewhere, Lawrence Juma scored his 15th goal of the season to inspire Sofapaka to a 3-0 win over Wazito in an early kick off match at Thika Stadium.

Ambrose Sifuna and Joseph Waithera also got on the scoresheet for Batoto Ba Mungu to register their ninth win of the campaign.
