Tusker will be aiming to complete a double over Gor Mahia when the two sides clash in today's FKF Premier League at Ruaraka Grounds.

The last two meetings between these sides have produced 10 goals.

Fresh from claiming the CAF Champions League ticket, the league leaders (47 points) are unbeaten in their last three matches and will be seeking to stretch their lead over the fourth placed Gor Mahia (39 points).

And according to Tusker captain Hashim Sempala, they have what it takes to complete a double over the record Premier League champions.

It was Tusker who handed Gor Mahia their first defeat of the campaign in December when David Majak and Henry Meja scored a goal each in their 2-1 victory.

The Ugandan midfielder firmly said their focus is to win the title, adding that qualifying for the Champions League will not slow them down.

“I thank God for blessing and the qualification for the CAF Champions League as it was the main target of the team this season," said Sempala who temporarily featured for Gor Mahia in 2019.

“We know that it's now history so the main focus is now on the remaining matches starting from tomorrow's game against the champions Gor Mahia.

“It’s going to be a tough game because they are motivated and the fact that we defeated them last time. However, we are ready and focused."

K’Ogalo assistant coach Sammy Omollo said they are motivated by their recent FKF Cup triumph.

“We will play continental football next year which is good but we also want it to be noted that in the 2021 season, Gor Mahia won the Premier League for a record 20th time,” said Omollo.

“We want to play for our pride, history and the badge."
