After what seemed like eternity, it's back; the English Premier League (EPL).
From today to next year May, football enthusiasts will be entertained by football action that comes second to none.
The EPL season kicks off tonight with the crunch tie pitting Crystal Palace against Arsenal at Selhurst Park in London, England.
In Nairobi, the occasion is being celebrated in style by passionate Kenyans who are out to support their favourite sides as they seek to clinch the elusive EPL trophy. Manchester City are the current champions.
The K1 Klub House in Nairobi was the place to be last weekend when the Standard Group PLC, who are EPL broadcast rights holders, helped welcome the new season with a Community Shield match between champions Manchester City and FA Cup holders Liverpool FC.

Liverpool won the crunch tie 3-1 at the 32,000-seater King Power Stadium, home of EPL side Leicester City FC.
"As EPL broadcast rights holders, we are committed to bring to the ardent football fans top notch entertainment," Standard Group PLC Chief Officer, Operations and Strategy, Benedict Omollo, said.
"We hope the local EPL fans will enjoy the seasons with us. We are out to bring back the passion in the game for the next three years."
The media outlet will relay live the EPL matches through its radio stations including Radio Maisha, Spice FM, Vybez FM, Berur FM as well as its digital platforms.
Gaming firm Mozzart Bet has come on board as the official sponsors of the EPL live broadcast matches.
"We are also working with other partners including Multichoice, Guinness, Brookside, Prestige Motors, Better SMS, Access Mail and Spotika," said Standard Group PLC General Manager, Commercial Peter Njigua.
And in order to spice up the new EPL season, Mozzart Bet yesterday launched the Chachimbistisha Shinda Ukishindwa (bet and win even if you lose) campaign where the grand champion will walk away with a zero mileage Mitsubishi Xpander at the end of August.
