Okumbi confirmed his departure from Rangers on Wednesday after an eleven-month stint with the club.

He was appointed to head the Rangers in February last year for a three-year contract replacing Sammy Pamzo Omolo early last year after parting ways with the team over poor performances.

The soft spoken tactician rallied his arsenal to finishing in position six of the log in the FKF Premier League.

The former manager also served at Wazito FC, Kenya under 23, KPL All-Stars head coach.

He has also led his side's run over Gor Mahia, Tusker FC, Bandari, Nzoia Sugar and Nairobi Stima to be in charge of the team.

Okumbi is the chairman, Korogocho Youth where he grew up before joining the Mathare Youth Sports Association (MYSA).

He later coached Mathare United and led Mathare Youth to lift the Copa Coca Cola tournament in 22009/2010.

Okumbi won the World Cup for Hope in South Africa with the team in 2010.

He has also served as an assistant coach at Kariobangi Sharks, and Sony Sugar.

The tactician has managed the U-20 team to the finals against Tanzania in Uganda and also played in semi-finals against Uganda where he is listed.
