Harambee Stars goalkeeper Matasi and his family hospitalised after car crash

Harambee Stars goalkeeper Patrick Matasi was on Tuesday evening hospitalized after being involved in a road accident at Kapsabet.

Matasi was travelling with his family from Kakamega to Nairobi when the accident occurred .

Matasi and his family were alert and conscious when the area residence arrived at the scene to free them from the badly damaged car.

The victims were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to reports, the driver lost control of the car before veering off the road.

A tire burst is believed to be a factor in the crash.

The front and the back of the car was damaged but fortunately, no-one was badly injured.

Harambee Stars Goalkeeper Patrick Matasi involved in a road accident around Lessos Area.

He's been taken to Kapsabet County Referral Hospital for treatment after he complained of chest pains.

Matasi currently plies his trade with Ethiopian side St George.

Before he was signed by St George in 2018 on a three-year deal, the 33-year-old played for AFC Leopards, Posta Rangers, and Tusker in the Kenyan league.

He was also the number one goalkeeper when Harambee Stars fought for a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations slot.
