The draw for the first round proper was held on Monday evening, with 40 ties drawn out of the hat as clubs from Leagues One and Two enter the fray

The draw for the first round of the FA Cup has been decided, with clubs from Leagues One and Two coming out of the hat alongside some stiff non-league opposition.

After the final preliminary rounds took place over the weekend, 80 clubs were placed into the hat for the draw ahead of the matches that will take place over the weekend of November 7.

Arsenal won the cup last season by beating Chelsea 2-1 in the delayed final at Wembley in August, but the big boys will have to wait a little longer to get involved in this season's competition.

The third round proper doesn't take place until the weekend of January 9, when clubs from the Premier League and Championship will enter.
