Harambee Stars skipper Victor Wanyama is the latest popular professional footballer to switch teams.
On Tuesday, March 3, Tottenham Football Club announced the 28-year-old was leaving and joining Major League Soccer outfit Montreal Impact.
“We have reached an agreement with Major League Soccer side Montreal Impact for the transfer of Victor Wanyama,” said Tottenham on their official website.
Wanyama made 97 appearances for Tottenham in all competitions following his move from Southampton in June 2016 and scored seven goals.
Montreal Impact has also made the announcement on the social media and website, unveiling Wanyama in fancy fashion.

“Montreal Impact announced on Tuesday that it has agreed with Kenyan national team midfielder and captain Victor Wanyama as a Designated Player, a free transfer from Tottenham Hotspur FC. He has signed a three-year contract with the club. His acquisition will be confirmed after receipt of his international transfer certificate and his medical examination,” said Montreal Impact

Montreal Impact is a Canadian professional football team based in Montreal, Quebec.
It made its MLS debut in 2012 after the league settled on expansion.
It participates in the Eastern Conference of the league having become the third club from Canada to be included.
Its home Stadium is the Saputo Stadium, with the head coach being former Arsenal and France striker Thierry Henry. The stadium acquired its name from Chairman Joey Saputo.
They made history in 2015 after becoming the first MLS club to qualify for the final of the CONCACAF Champions League. They finished second after losing on aggregate to Club America.
They won the Canadian championship in 2013, 2014 and 2019.
