Raised in Nairobi's Eastleigh estate and later moving to Kayole, King Karz is a rapper and songwriter currently based in Perth, Australia.

"Music has been my lifeblood since I began writing songs at the tender age of nine. As a rapper and songwriter, music became my canvas for self-expression, a platform to share stories that mirrored my experiences and those of my community. The everyday struggles and triumphs fueled my passion, and I yearned to uplift spirits and spread hope through my lyrics," he says.

His artistic journey took a new turn recently when he unveiled his latest project titled ''8 AM in Perth''.

"Lately, I've been diving deeper into the music industry, both creatively and professionally.

"I've been learning the ropes of music production and setting up my studio at home. Plus, I recently released a freestyle track titled"8 AM in Perth," capturing my musical journey here in Perth."

The rapper chose to pursue music because he felt it was his way of expressing myself and sharing stories that resonated with his experiences and those of his community.

He is inspired by the struggles and challenges he faces every day, and that is what made him want to use music to uplift others and spread positivity.

Although he was born and brought up in Nairobi before relocating, King Karz made a maiden return to Nairobi last year where he says he rekindled connections with his loved ones.

"The hustle ingrained in Nairobi's streets became a defining mark of my life. I learnt important life lessons here in Nairobi that have definitely shaped my life to this point.

"These Nairobi lessons that include importance of hard work and unwavering determination in the face of challenges, continue to guide me."

Fueled by the lessons of hard work and perseverance learned in Nairobi, King Karz says his musical creativity is inspired by the same.

The songwriter is currently working on an album documenting his Kenyan roots all the way to his life in Australia.
