Ngara B, Swamibapa Development, An-Nadil, Legends win in NPCA Division Two League

The eighth week of Nairobi Provincial Cricket Association (NPCA) Division Two 50-Overs League saw leading players from various teams display awesome skills on the crease.

NPCA Division Two League aims to inspire more upcoming people to play the game of cricket more often and competitively. The League primarily responds to the needs of clubs in relation to the ongoing development of younger players.

Hamza Shabbir hit 91 off 47 balls to enable An-nadil Jamaly beat Kenya Kongonis by 8 wickets at Saifee Park. An-nadil won the toss and elected to field first.

But Kongonis were bowled out for 135 in 33.5 overs. In reply, An-Nadil hit 137 for 2 in 13.4 overs.

Ali Fazal was An-nadil’s second best scorer with 28 off 7 deliveries. Kongonis skipper and opener Veron J. Slack made 56 runs off 48 deliveries.

In another Division two match, Swamibapa Development defeated hosts Goan Institute B by 43 runs. The Goans won the toss and elected to filed first.

Swamibapa Development were bowled out for 172 in 41.0 Overs. Goan Institute B were bowled out for 129 in 32.3 Overs.

Goan’s top order batsman Shyam Senghani was their leading scorer with 30 off 57 while Qureshi Bhaijee scoring 28 runs off 48 balls. Goan’s middle order didn’t quite click in the match. Varsani Ajit Nautam was Swamibapa Development’s highest scorer with 40 off 33 while Kaushal Jesani posted 39 off 47 balls.

Pradeep Jesani was nevertheless the toast of a well-oiled Swamibapa Development outfit as he went on to collect five wickets to his credit! His teammate Ved Patel proved what stuff he is made of as he took 3 wickets.

Meanwhile, Kanbis B stretched their unbeaten run to seven matches as they steam-rolled Sir Ali B by 9 wickets at their Eastleigh High backyard.

Kanbis B top the Division One log with a flawless 28-point score. Ngara A are lying second on the points table after handing Wolves A a 146 Runs blow at Ngara SC grounds in South C.

Ruaraka B player Shubham Chirag tops the Batting chart with 487 runs from 7 innings. Kanbis B star Hirani Kabaria is placed second with 379 runs in 7 innings.
