Former minister Bett hospitalised following road accident in Kericho

Former Roads Minister Franklin Bett has been admitted at Siloam Hospital in Kericho County after being involved in a road accident at Karange area along the Awasi-Kericho road.

The incident occurred on Thursday night, leaving Bett with a serious deep cut on his face.

He was rushed to Siloam Hospital along with two other survivors of the accident, who sustained soft tissue injuries. His spouse, Alice Bett, a High Court Judge, confirmed in a message to The Standard that the former Cabinet Minister is in stable condition.

"He is recuperating well," she said.

Bett who served in President Mwai Kibaki's administration, was also the Bureti MP between 2003-2013.
