Several participants took part in the Finnish version of Kenyan Open golf tournament held on Friday in Nurmijarvi, a golf suburban city on the outskirts of Helsinki.

Participants thronged the golf course early in the morning dew as the competition formally kicked off. The event attracted regular and amateur golfers who were later to witness a blistering heat in unusual to Finnish summer as they jostled for opening tees.

Kenya Ambassador to Sweden, Dr Joe Sang graced the charity-themed golf competition. Dr Sang lauded the event and Finnish organizers saying it opens yet another channel of business co-operation for entrepreneurs between the two countries.

“There are great opportunities that Kenya and Finland can implement among them agri-business and technology,” said the envoy.

The tournament was hosted by a charity organization, Train With the Champions (TWC) under the banner; lets make children walk.
