Leaders mourn Kiambu MCA who died in Thika Road accident

Nominated MCA Ezra Kabuga Kihara of Kiambu County Assembly died in a road accident on Sunday morning.
According to Juja Sub-County Police Commander Michael Mwaura, the accident occurred at about 6am near Mang'u High School on Thika Road.
The 34-year-old politician, who was driving a Subaru Forester, rammed the rear of a lorry. Due to the impact, Kabuga died on the spot and the car caught fire.
His body was taken to Montzuna Monalissa Funeral Home in Kabati, Murang'a County.
A father of three, Kabuga who is an accountant, was nominated by UDA party to represent youth.

Members of the Kiambu County Assembly rushed to the funeral home upon getting news of Kabuga's death.
Kiamwangi MCA Kung'u Smart described Kabuga as a dedicated Member of the Assembly whose future in politics was promising.
Kung'u, who was with the deceased at Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua's Karen home on Saturday, said he had lost a friend.
Ngoliba MCA Joachim Njama eulogise Kabuga as a colleague well-versed in budget matters noting that the politician was instrumental in helping the county transition from manual revenue collection to an electronic system.
Members of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Ngoingwa in Thika, where Kabuga was a youth leader, also mourned his passing.
President William Ruto hailed Kabuga's leadership capabilities.
"His skills in party politics were exemplary, and he played a crucial role as the Kiambu returning officer during the party primaries in 2022," Ruto said on his X account.
Gachagua said he was saddened by the news, recalling that they had a very fruitful meeting with Kabuga before the accident.
"Just yesterday, we were discussing ways to tackle illicit brew in Kiambu County," said the DP at Thika PEFA Cathedral where he had attended a church service.
Kiambu Governor Kimani Wamatangi took to social media to express his sorrow.
He described Kabuga as a vibrant and promising young leader whose commitment to serving the people of Kiambu was evident in every aspect of his work.
"It is heartbreaking to lose such a young, dedicated legislator with so much promise for the futur,"he said.
