Emyba bounced back to winning ways after registering two consecutive wins in the 2021 Kenya Basketball Federation Premier League matches played over the weekend at Nyayo Stadium Gymnasium.

Yesterday, Emyba thrashed Kisumu Lakeside 80-55 to complete a weekend double after defeating University of Nairobi Terror 62-44 on Saturday.

Emyba had lost to Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) 77-68 on their opening match the previous week and needed to bounce back from their slow start.

In the match against Lakeside, Thomas Kioko posted 20 points followed by Emmanuel Ekai with 13 points to lead the Abel Nson coached side to victory.

Emyba started on the right footing after leading 21-16 by the end of first quarter before holding off a resilient Lakeside in the second quarter to draw 15-15.

The hosts put their house in order as they hit their unlucky visitors 19-16 before closing out the game in style with a massive 25-8 fourth quarter dominance.

Trevor Gari led Kisumu Lakeside with 12 points followed by Sila Derrick, with 11.

Zetech University Sparks hit African Nazarene University 82-62.
