'Kenyans need a good beating': Museveni son on Uhuru land invasion

Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the son of Uganda's President Yoweri Museveni, has joked that he had unsuccessfully asked his father to deploy him and his troops to Kenya to deal with goons who invaded Uhuru Kenyatta's Northlands farm on March 27.
Taking to his Twitter page on Saturday, April 1, Muhoozi said: "I asked Mzee (Museveni) to deploy me as the lead commander to Northlands [Farm in Ruiru, Kiambu County in Kenya]. All we needed were 200 Uganda People's Defence Force (UPDF) soldiers to bring order [in Northlnads Farm]. I told him that Kenyans needed a good beating, but he (Museveni) refused [to deploy us]."
In yet another tweet, Muhoozi referred to Kenyans as "biggest thieves" who need to be "turned into tomato soup".
During the Northlands invasion, the Kenyatta family lost to the goons more than 1,500 sheep and several eucalyptus trees that were felled.
Referring to Uhuru Kenyatta as his "big brother" in another tweet on Saturday, Muhoozi said everything should be done to protect the former Kenyan president.

Muhoozi's latest series of tweets marks another instance in which he is making sarcastic comments towards Kenya.
In October 2022, he said it would take him a maximum of two hours to invade Nairobi and put it under Uganda's control.
The October 2022 remarks by the Ugandan president's son triggered diplomatic friction between Kenya and Uganda.
Museveni would, thereafter, remove his son from the central operations of the Ugandan army. He, however, promoted him to the rank of general.
"It is not correct for public officers, be they civilian or military, to comment or interfere in any way, in the internal affairs of brother countries. Why then did I promote Muhoozi to full General after his comments? This is because this mistake is one aspect where he acted negatively as a public officer. There are, however, many other positive contributions the general made and can still make," Museveni said in a statement.
