They wished to join the same secondary school after excelling in their KCPE exam, and their wish was granted after they were picked to join St Joseph's Boys National School-Kitale.

This is the story of twin brothers Lucky Kipruto and Gian Kiptoo, who scored 404 and 403 marks, respectively in last year's Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination.

The boys sat their exam at St Joseph the Worker Hema Schools in Trans Nzoia County. They were in the same classroom of 34 candidates. Kipruto was index number 12, while his brother was index number 20.

They said they were excited about being selected to join the same secondary school, terming it the 'work of God'.

"We are happy to be joining the same school. It was our wish and we thank God for granting us our wish," said Kipruto who wants to become an engineer, while Kiptoo dreams of becoming a neurosurgeon.

In an interview at the school during a thanksgiving ceremony, the two brothers said they wanted to join the same secondary school so they can support each other.

"When we received news on the selection, we were happy and we thank God for that. We are happy to join St Joseph Boys National School. It was our wish," said Kiptoo.
