A stalemate is brewing in the Bomet Governorship contest after Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) disputed the results that are being tallied by the Independent and Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
Party Secretary General Albert Kochei said they will not accept the outcome of the results, saying they believed the process is flawed.
Kochei said they have received information from their agents that the results were manipulated in favour of UDA's Hillary Barchok.
Speaking to the press in Bomet, Kochei said they have now instructed their chief agent, Mr Justus Maina, not to accept any results that are not favourable to Isaac Ruto.
Kochei said they will not allow the will of the people of Bomet to be hijacked.
"As we speak our own tally has shown we are way ahead and already we are noting a lot of irregularities from results," said Kochei.
Kochei asked locals to ignore any results that are being publicised showing the UDA Candidate as leading.
"Do not be cheated by anyone that we have been defeated," he said.
Kochei claimed that the opponents used the money to influence the outcome of the election.
"Our opponents did the work on behalf of IEBC and thus denying the people of Bomet their right to elect their leaders in a free and fair manner," he said.
Barchok is currently leading in the provisional results in four constituencies with Ruto picking a win in his Chepalungu backyard.
IEBC is expected to declare the results tonight.
Earlier in the day, Ruto supporters took to the streets of Bomet town in protest, saying they will not accept the results.
