Sudi who had earlier left for Nairobi said he had sent his wives Ann and Lillian Sudi to pick up the document on his behalf.

Photos he posted on his social media pages showed his wives wearing smiles as they received the certificate before engaging in a short celebration with their husband's followers.

"Earlier today, I sent my lovely wives Lilian and Anne to pick up the election certificate on my behalf. I wish to thank the great people of Kapseret Constituency for giving me a chance to serve them in the National Assembly for the third time, " Sudi wrote on his Facebook page.

He added that he was committed to continuing serving his constituents with diligence, determination and hard work.

Sudi is a matatu tout and cattle herder who now lives in a ritzy house. Never mind that whewn he first came to Nairobi in 1998 and was so jazzed by the sight of a TV, he bought a black and white one for his mabati house in his rural home. Oscar Sudi was another faceless Kenyan hustler before the 2013 General Election.

Affluence has been the norm for this son of a charcoal dealer who has since been nicknamed the 'Sonko of Eldoret.' He rolls in money, power and all the controversies that come with wielding both. And he does not shy from flaunting his two wives.

He stunned Uasin Gishu residents in 2016 when Deputy President William Ruto came to open his Sh100 million home in Kapseret.

The legislator is however facing trial for allegedly forging academic certificates while seeking clearance from IEBC to contest in the 2013 election.

He is alleged to have forged the KCSE Certificate and a Diploma Certificate in Business Management from Kenya Institute of Management.

The case is active in court and hearing continues.
