Roots Party presidential candidate George Wajackoyah took his campaigns to Uasin Gishu County where he pledged to deal harshly with cartels in the maize sector if elected president.

Wajackoyah who addressed a rally in Eldoret town today said his administration will not condone corruption.

He said his idea of using cannabis sativa (bhang) to turn around the country's economy has gained traction among Kenyans, telling his rivals Azimio's Raila Odinga and UDA's William Ruto that he would shock them at the ballot.

The Roots Party flag bearer said corrupt individuals had derailed progress in the agricultural sector and his administration will deal with them ruthlessly.

His Eldoret campaign rally came hours ahead of Raila's vote-hunt mission in the North Rift town today.

"I assure that in my government, corrupt individuals will be hanged. There will be no space for corruption. I am going to deal with them," Wajackoyah said during a stopover, saying cartels in the maize sector had drained the National Cereals and Produce Board for years.
