More than 4,000 Imbirikani Group Ranch members from Loitoktok sub-county have received their title deeds after a 30-year wait.

About 4,300 ranch members have been living within the ranch in Kajiado South without any ownership documents.

The jubilant members said the issuance of the title deeds was a big relief to them.

"We are very happy, we have been waiting for more than 30 years to get these documents, and we are very thankful for the authorities," said Moses Sakina a resident.

He said his title deed will enable him to develop his land as he moves towards economic liberation.

"From now, I will be able to develop my piece of land without fear because I own it," added Sakina.

Kajiado Governor Joseph Lenku reiterated his administration's commitment to end land wrangles.

He said in his five-year term, more than 30,000 ranch members have been issued with title deeds.

Further, he advised the beneficiaries not to sell off their land.
