Former Kenya Seed staff loses appeal

The High Court in Kitale has dismissed an appeal by a former employee of Kenya Seed who had been fined Sh800,000 after he was found guilty of stealing Sh4.2 million in 2016.

Mr Emmanuel Kombo was charged with stealing by servant. He was accused that on diverse dates between July 22, 2015, and February 24, 2016, while employed as a cashier at Kenya Seeds at Kitale, he stole Sh4.2 million.

In 2020, the Chief Magistrate’s Court in Kitale fined him Sh800,000 or in default, serve three years in jail.
