Kericho detectives trail man who filmed himself defiling a minor

Detectives in Kericho County are looking for a man who recorded himself defiling a minor.

County Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Stephen Magwe said they were following crucial leads which will culminate in the arrest of the pedophile.

"We have received the complaint. Investigations are ongoing," he said.

In the self-incriminating video, the man captures his face and the whole act in a tiny room with a double-decker bed.

After setting up the camera, the man in a blue shirt and wearing a pair of red boxer shorts, proceeds to defile the teenage girl in his one-roomed house.

Some social media users who claim to know the man alleged that the girl is the man's daughter while others said she is his niece.

A source who identified the man in the video said he is a former bookseller at a Kericho bookstore.

A manhunt has been launched.
