Candidate delivers last day of KCPE

SAMBURU, KENYA: A primary school girl, who was a candidate at Uhuru primary school in Samburu Central was overcomed by labour pains while sitting her last Kenya Primary Education Examination paper.

According to the Samburu Central District Education Officer Mohammed Abdikarim, the candidate was sitting for the Social Studies exam when she felt the labour pains forcing the teachers to rush her to Maralal District Hospital maternity ward to give birth.

“The girl was incapacitated during her last paper of social studies when  labour pains became too much,” said Abdulkarim.

Abdulkarim said the mother of the new born’s examination was terminated at exactly 10.45 in the morning to allow her give birth and later resume sitting her paper later at the hospital.

However, the girl, according to Abdulkarim is determined to pass the examination and proceed with her education.
