The dog has often been described as man's best friend. However, this loyal and faithful friend often unknowingly puts man in trouble. Trying to contain a dog can be quite a challenge.
Using a hidden pet fence will give your pet the freedom to run and play in your compound, safely contained.
A hidden pet fence uses an electronic radio signal transmitted through an underground boundary wire. Your dog or cat wears a special collar with a receiver that detects the radio signal and alerts the dog when he gets too close to the underground fence.
According to manufacturers, it is easy and safe and should not be mistaken for ‘electric fences’ or ‘electric dog fence’. They are radio fences; sometimes referred to as underground dog fence, radio pet fence or wireless pet fence.
Containment area
The buried wire is not electrified but instead uses a radio signal to alert the dog not to cross the boundary. You can also use this technology indoors and restrict your pet from sitting on your sofa or sleeping in the baby’s bed.
Through an easy training process, your pet learns to identify and roam and play within your pet containment area.
White flags are placed around the fence so that the dog is conditioned to associate the white flags with the "do not trespass" limit. When the dog approaches the boundary, a beep comes from his collar.
If he continues to go beyond the audible signal, he receives a mild correction transmitted through the receiver collar.
The technology uses a transmitter, an internal and external surge protector against power surges and lightning and the receiver collar worn by the pet.
The collar has a protection feature that guards against false activation caused by stray radio signals. In case your dog stands in the signal field and does not exit quickly, the receiver automatically shuts down to protect the dog from over correction. The receiver then re-sets when it leaves the signal area.
