Gachagua's stern warning to Kericho governor, his deputy

"During the Africa Climate Summit, 25 African presidents asked Ruto to lead them in climate matters and have respected him globally. But here in Kericho, the governor and deputy are quarrelling instead of delivering services to the electorate. Development won't come to Kericho amidst such conflict," said Gachagua

He said they will not allow politics to overshadow development in Kericho.

He spoke at the funeral service of Vincent Mutai, the late son of Kipkelion East MP Joseph Cherorot in Masaita, where he summoned Dr. Mutai and Eng Kirui to his Nyeri residence for mediation.

"The president is unhappy about the conflicts and I share his unhappiness," warned Gachagua.

The DP threatened to launch a campaign to remove them from office if they refused to resolve their differences.

"I'll personally come to Kericho and inform the residents of their mistake, which should not be repeated. This will be enough to politically undermine both of them," said Gachagua

He revealed that their political theatrics had almost led to the cancellation of Kericho's Mashujaa Day celebration in October.

Mutai defended the county's handling of the cash saying the delay in disbursement was due to more victims coming forward.
