The Jubilee party wrangles have deepened after its party leader former President Uhuru Kenyatta was summoned by the party's dispute resolution committee.
In the letter dated May 12, that was sent to Kenyatta, the Internal Dispute Resolution Committee chairperson Gideon Solonka notifies him of the dispute lodged against him.
Solonka also notifies Kenyatta to file his response electronically within two days from the day of notification adding that he will be notified of a hearing date before a final decision is made.
In the dispute party chairperson Nelson Dzuya faults a notice issued by Kenyatta to convene a National Delegates Committee that was published in the media on April 29.
The notice he says is irregular and in contravention with the Jubilee party constitution.
Dzuya also says that the decision was resolved in an irregular National Executive Committee (NEC) that was held without quorum on April 28.
At the same time the Registrar of Political Parties Anne Nderitu has also written to Kenyatta telling him that her office has received resolutions from the party's NEC held on May 2.
In the letter Nderitu, notifies Kenyatta of his suspension from office and the appointment of his replacement Sabina Chege.
She also notifies him of a disciplinary action against him and the suspension of NDC meant for May 22.
Nderitu says her office is in the process of evaluating documents availed and the resolutions made in line with the Political Parties Act as well as the Jubilee party constitution.
Kenyatta is expected to file his response within seven days from May 2.
This comes after Eala legislator Kanini Kega cancelled a special National Delegates Conference that was to be convened by Kenyatta.
According to Kega the NDC that was scheduled for May 22 at the Bomas of Kenya, is suspended.
He said that the party will issue a notice convening a Special Delegates Convention pursuant to the resolution of the National Executive Council dated February 10.
